copy/pasting review from my steam page this is old and ass but i gotta submit somethin or bones will kick me out of the dm
So I'm reviewing this shit in fkin February. Took me 3 goddamn months to get through this game, and its only like 6 hours long even if you want to read all the dialog
I bought this on day 1 and got like halfway through and was gonna refund it but they wouldn't let me because I took 2 hours on the stupid fucking ace attorney shit
Theres entire minigames and cutscenes and characters in the trailer that are straight up not in the game, you walk through this dudes house and hes in in the trailer but its just a fkin empty ass cave
Just when you think its gonna get good its sudenly another visual novel and like the visual novels were fine but this was supposed to be the not visual novel
the final puzzle is ass because theres no hints. the hint feature tells you to fuck off and if you decompile the script theres hints for the puzzle but with a different solution that uses the dude they cut out from the trailer
now that we know the whole homestuck team fell apart last year right when this came out it kinda makes sense
p sure most people that worked on this and certainly those with the web comic lost their jobs the moment this came out which isnt out of the ordinary but for hiveswap this is like the third dev team they completely burned through and act 3 is still a thing happening and im sure its like an entirely new team of teen aritsts they hired to work on That Thing They Like
maybe the game is fine and im just tired of the same gamedev loop of wringing out every drop of sweat from a young artist and then tossing them in the trash
but thats not even a hiveswap thing thats just crapitalism. dude its been a decade and they made half of one game of a two-game series and they had to ruin the lives of like 4 different dev teams lmao
